The Seven Seas(Into the depths of the seas)

Chapter 1(having to be poor)Drila was a five-year-old girl with sleek hair reddish hair and big eyes. She was tall and thin, always wearing the same, frilly, polka-dotted dress which made her even slimmer.

Drila lived in an old shed hut with her seven sisters, bothers and parents. Her parents were usually out working in the fields to plant crops for their family and hardly even stayed in the shed for five minutes before going back to the fields to work.

Food was scare and life was hard for Drila and her family. Drila wished a miracle would happen. She wanted to go to school and study- especially literature.

She found it interesting and would take morning walks to schools her house to watch other fortunate children read books and jolt down notes from the classroom windows.

How Drila wished to go to school like most children.

Unbeknownst to Drila, a miracle was about to happen that would change her life forever.

Chapter 2 (Multi-colours)

The sky was shining brightly blue with white fluffy clouds drifting across the sky. It was an ordinary day for Drila and her family.

Her parents were working in the fields, but, out of the blue the sky turned a shade of blackish -grey.

As a result, her parents hastily rushed back to the hut, carrying a pile  of gardening equipment.

Not long after, the blackish-grey clouds released a heavy rain shower with lightning that looked like fluorescent veins and rumbling thunder.

Drila’s father sighed as he shook his head in disappointment and cried, “Why must it rain today? We are already planting less plants than usual because of the pest invasion, and now it is raining! Show us some mercy!”

The family agreed, even Drila’s older brother which used to think there was enough food to fill the families’ stomachs.

Leaving them no choice, they decided to go to bed early.

The next morning, Drila woke up with a start from a bad dream. It was about a sea full of multi-colours of the rainbow.

There were sea monsters, a beautiful girl and many more that Drila could not remember. A sea monster was quarrelling with a beautiful girl and all of a sudden, she woke up.

Drila climbed down the ladder of her bunk bed and put on her slippers. She opened the door and was about to take a morning stroll to the nearby school when she realised that she was stranded on an island.

Surrounding the island was multi-coloured water that resembled the rainbow’s seven colours-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Chapter Three ( close one )

Amazed, Drila walked out of the hut and a little closer towards the sea. The mighty wind swept across her face as she admired the beautiful seascape.

All of a sudden, a big wave hit the island and a giant sea monster could be seen among the waves.

It was murky green and had big brown eyes with long eyelashes. It had a plump body and stubby hand and legs but it had tentacles that were as long as a school bus with strong-grip suckles located at the sides of its body.

It wore a grey pair of trousers that had patches all over. It had spikes all over its body and most importantly, sharp and strong teeth for tearing meat.

The sea monster stretched out a tentacle and grabbed Drila by her neck. Drila choked as the sea monster chuckled gleefully at his good work.

“Ah, I haven’t eaten for ages. This girl would make a splendid snack. I am just going to have a bite in her........”

The sea monster had not finished his sentence when a beautiful, teenage girl emerged out of the orange-coloured water.

She had shiny, golden her that shimmered in the sunlight and smooth skin. She had blue sapphire eyes and rose red lips. She had long legs and wore a beautiful, silky, dark blue gown with a long light blue cape that was attached to the top of her gown.

At that moment, she shouted, “Daddy, let that girl down this instant. She is innocent!”

“My dear daughter, she is delicious, in fact the most delicious girl I have ever seen!” he said as he tightened the grip on Drila’s neck.

“Stop your dirty business right now! Furthermore, YOU SHOULD LET THAT GIRL DOWN NOW!” screamed the sea monster’s daughter at the top of her lungs.

“No way, daughter you can control me in anything you want except my EVIL DEEDS! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!”

The teenage girl felt anger bubble through her body as she said, “You will never win me in a quarrel!”

Golden sparks shot out of her fingertips and hit the sea monster as the sea monster release his grip around Drila’s neck tumbled backwards and fell into the water.

Chapter Four (A Not So Happy Ending)

“Thank you for saving me, or I would have been dead by now. By the way, my name is Drila Mulfin.” She said in bated breath as she shed tears of gratitude and fright.

“Mine name is Minuet Lasso and I am one of the guardians of the Orange Sea.” Came the reply as she hopped into a portal and disappeared into thin air.

Drila decided to go back into the hut when another big wave swept onto the island and Drila was carried by the current into the depths of the Orange Sea.........
